Opening for the first time in September 2008, Hikaru is proud to be the first Japanese food takeaway of its kind on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Our intention was to provide more variety of Japanese food to the Sunshine Coast blossoming area, while defying the usual high prices associated with Japanese food. Hikaru has been warmly accepted by many who have tried our delicious, fresh and hearty meals.

Initially, we started humbly with a selection of donburi (Japanese rice bowls). But we have grown our menu to include fantastic varieties of fresh yummy hand-rolled sushi, noodles, salads, snacks. All these are prepared by Hikaru's dedicated and passionate team of staff. With great selection of light and healthy foods, you will not be just pleasuring your tastebuds, but also looking after yourself.

Whether you're coming for a quick lunch/dinner or having a special meal with your family and friends, Hikaru will be a dining experience you'll enjoy.

WHAT'S NEW? 

If you haven't been to Hikaru for a while, come and check out some of our new menu, including various "Meal Of The Day" and scrumptious new sushi created by our passionate sushi chefs. The Tango Maki for example. A mouth-watering maki roll with soft-shell crab and lobster, wrapped in cheese omelette! We now have more selections of vegetarian sushi to meet increasing demand for them. So come in and try out some of the new dish, or enjoy what you've always loved before.
